It’s that time of year, kids are back in school, the weather is starting to change (hopefully…I’m looking at you Texas) and you want to get that perfect family portrait made.

Maybe you need to update the portraits in the house, your profile picture, or you want a WOW holiday card. Maybe you just want an excuse to get dolled up. Either way, when you’re having family pictures taken you want the session to go well and the result to be amazing.

I’ve been doing my research on how people can prepare for their perfect family portrait and each day this week I will post a new tip. Enjoy!

Tip # 1 - PLAN. Plan your photo shoot well in advance. Make sure you have enough time on the calendar to get outfits, makeup, hair, etc done in advance. You can't rush the greatness of a perfect family photo. Nothing ruins that potential greatness then doing things last minute.

Hint: I have spots available in my mini sessions well into November.
